Postpartum doulas are experts in cultivating a space of healing, calm and empowerment for new families as they navigate the ups and downs of parenthood with a newborn. Many families will arrange a postpartum doula prior to birth because they know that it will be a nice fit, while others reach out after birth when it becomes apparent that additional support is needed. The timeframe for postpartum doula services is typically from after birth until 3 months postpartum.
